Mondays at Racine

Every third Monday of the month, two sisters open the doors of their
Long Island hair salon, Racine Salon and Spa, and offer free beauty
services for women being treated for cancer, most of whom are losing
their hair from chemotherapy treatment.  The two sisters, Cynthia and Rachel, lost their mother to breast cancer. Realizing how difficult hair loss was for their mother, this is their way of giving back.

A documentary short film entitled "Mondays at Racine" centers around the salon and women in similar predicaments.  The film has been nominated for an Oscar.
