This past week, several people told me of loved ones being diagnosed with cancer. To say the least, receiving such a diagnosis is unsettling.  

Fear sets in and the worst case scenario goes through your mind.
When I received my diagnosis, I remember someone telling me that the mind is 90% of the cure.  This was his way of providing encouragement.
But, there is proof in the pudding with that statement.  Our attitude and outlook truly does have an impact.  Without hope (and faith), we have nothing.

Hope is what inspired me to write Rise and Shine.  
To offer hope and encouragement to others going through similar situations. One way I hope to accomplish this is by donating my book to various waiting rooms of cancer centers.
